"Ship of Fran's" is the twenty-sixth episode in the third season of the CBS sitcom The Nanny. It aired on the thirteenth of May in 1996.

Synopsis[]

Fran goes on a cruise headed for the Bahamas to meet the man of her dreams. Maxwell crashes Fran's vacation hoping to stop her from meeting anyone.

Plot[]

Emboldened by a psychic telling her that she'll dance on water with the man of her dreams, Fran takes a cruise with Val to meet guys. Looking for a way to celebrate Brighton's confirmation (and concerned that if Fran meets someone, he may never see her again), the Sheffields decide to come along, accompanied by C.C., Yetta and Sylvia. Niles ends up with a room to himself, while C.C. is stuck rooming with Yetta. Fran meets a guy named Steve who steals her heart away. While gambling, Niles has a run of bad luck until C.C. joins him, starting a winning streak. He ends up begging C.C. to stick by him to improve his luck, which she only agrees to if he switches rooms with her. Fran and Steve grow closer despite Mr. Sheffield's attempts to sabotage them, but it is revealed that Steve was only staying with her because he was a stowaway.
